About Waring Tuxedos

Waring Tuxedos was founded on a simple but important idea: Fort Worth deserved better when it came to formalwear. Not just better tuxedos, but better service, local expertise, and a more personalized experience than the national chains could offer.

WE ARE PROUD TO BE FORT WORTH'S ONLY LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED, FULL-SERVICE TUXEDO SHOP.

A native of New Orleans, Houstoun Waring developed an affinity for tailored clothing at a young age. Surrounded by seersucker and white linen suits in the summer and white tie and tails during Carnival season, New Orleans offered a unique sartorial environment full of color and character, frivolity and formality.

A CPA by education, Houstoun fell into the clothing business accidentally, serving as Director of Retail Merchandising and Business Development for one of Dallas' top formal wear shops. Over the course of six years in that position, Houstoun noticed a steady stream of customers coming from Fort Worth, Southlake, Aledo, Weatherford, and farther West - looking for better formalwear options than what was available locally.

That insight, along with family and friends in Fort Worth, led Houstoun to open Waring Tuxedos. The catalyst was the opportunity to restore an historic space “on the bricks” of Camp Bowie Boulevard—transforming it into a warm, elegant shop that reflects the heritage and style of the neighborhood.

Waring Tuxedos offers an unmatched level of service, convenience, and quality. With an in-house tailor and a full range of on-site inventory, we can provide same-day tuxedo rentals—perfect for weddings with out-of-town groomsmen, last-minute black-tie galas, or proms. Our prices are competitive with the national chains, but our service is far more personal.

We also offer custom tuxedos, suits, sport coats, trousers—cut from the finest European fabrics and tailored in a century-old Italian workshop. Our custom shirts are handmade in the United States. Final alterations are completed in-house.

Whether you’re planning a wedding, attending a debutante ball at River Crest, or getting ready for prom, Waring Tuxedos is here to help you look your best—without the stress.

At the heart of Waring Tuxedos is a commitment to tradition, hospitality, and craftsmanship. We believe a customer renting a tuxedo for $200 is just as important as a customer purchasing a $2,000 custom one, and their experience should be the same. We believe that formalwear should feel as good as it looks—and that every gentleman deserves the confidence that comes from wearing something well-made, well-fitted, and chosen with purpose.
